Boulder Opal
Two pieces of a boulder opal are set in lustrous 14k gold bezels with the settings arranged to appear as if they are tectonic plates that have shifted. The settings are attached to the ends of a gracefully curved, textured sandcast sterling silver open top ring band which allows a true opening for the “plates”. Gold pigmented inlay is a decorative element that follows the opal’s crack along one piece to the corner of the other. Boulder opal. Sand. Vivid ocean blue. A ring representative of the earth.
